Where do I go to
login to my control panel?
What is the
difference between parked, addon, and
subdomains?
An addon domain is a fully
functional domain that can be created from your
cPanel. Once it's created it will have it's own
email and it's own folder from within the
public_html directory. Addon domains load their
content from a subdomain folder of the primary
domain name. For instance, if you own domain.com
and wish to addon example.com, once you have
successfully added example.com, you may load it in
one of three ways.
The addon domain, example.com, can be loaded in the
following ways:
example.com - This is loading the domain as an
addon domain.
example.domain.com - This is loading the addon as a
subdomain.
domain.com/example - This is loading the addon as a
subfolder of the primary domain.
A parked domain is a masked forward to the primary
domain name of the cPanel account. It is much like
a place holder site. For instance, if you owned
google.com and it was the primary domain of your
cPanel account, you could set up gewgol.com as a
parked domain and it would load the content of
google.com. You will notice that all though the
content of google.com is loading in the browser,
the address bar will display
http://gewgol.com/.
Subdomain URLs look like forum.domain.com,
cat.domain.com, etc.domain.com the www is replaced
with anything you want.
Where can
I download a free FTP?
There are several FTP
clients which you may download and install for
free. You will find a video tutorial on FTP
accounts in the video tutorials folder in your
cPanel. The internet is full of video tutorials
that will teach you how to use them as well.
Click on the "Download" link next to the name
of the FTP client you wish to use to be taken
to the download page for that FTP
client.
Filezilla FTP - Download
- Check out our video tutorials.
Core FTP - Download

Cute FTP -
Download - Check out our video tutorials.
Smart FTP - Download

What is an addon
domain?
An addon domain is
a fully functional domain that can be
created from within your control panel.
Think of it as having multiple hosting
packages all sharing the same control
panel. You can give them email
addresses, forwarders, and more the
same way you do for your main domain on
the account.
The addon domain will appear as a
totally separate domain from your
primary domain. There should be no
evidence that your domain is an addon
domain to incoming traffic when they
visit your addon domain.
The username you chose when you created
your addon domain will be the name of
the folder within your public_html that
the addon domain will be loading it's
files and content from. That folder is
called the "Document Root" of your
addon domain and this folder is always
a sub domain.
You may actually load your addon domain
in one of three ways:
As an addon domain )
( As a sub domain )
( As a sub folder )
Unless otherwise
specified by a script you have
installed on this addon domain, all
three examples should load the very
same content.
We do have a video tutorial in cPanel
which will show you how to create an
addon
domain.

What
do
I
put
for
both
incoming
and
outgoing
mail
server?
For
both
incoming
and
outgoing
mail
server,
put
mail.yourdomain.com.
This
remains
true
for
your
addon
and
parked
domains
when
you
are
checking
email
for
them
and
need
to
set
up
your
account
in
your
email
client.
If
you
know
the
IP
address
or
the
hostname
of
the
server
which
you
are
on,
you
may
use
that
information
instead
of
mail.yourdomain.com
if
need
be.
When
will
my
domain
start
working?
It
usually
takes
24-48
hours
for
a
domain
to
fully
replicate
changes,
additions
or
deletions
across
all
name
servers.
For
you
to
see
the
effects,
however,
all
depends
on
your
ISP
and
physical
location.
Updates
my
be
within
minutes
for
your
neighbor,
but
may
take
up
to
a
week
for
you
or
vice-versa.
The
reason
for
this
is
DNS
propagation.
DNS
propagation
is
based
on
your
physical
location
and
ISP;
it
is
not
something
we
have
control
over.
After
you
enter
the
correct
nameservers
(at
your
domain
registrar,
the
site
where
you
purchased
your
domain
name),
propagation
usually
completes
within
24-72
hours.
After
that
time,
your
site
will
be
appearing
on
our
server
and
your
email
will
be
fully
functional.
There
is
no
positive
way
to
tell
when
the
process
has
completed.
This
happens
because
you
must
give
the
root
servers
of
the
internet,
your
ISP,
and
your
local
network
time
to
clear
the
cached
IP
and
server
information.
Even
if
you
see
the
site
on
the
new
server
at
your
local
machine
the
person
next
door
to
you
can
see
something
different.
What
is
SiteStudio?
With
SiteStudio,
you
don't
need
to
know
anything
about
FTP,
HTML,
HTTP
or
Designing.
If
you
can
surf
the
Internet,
you
can
build
your
own
professional
looking
website.
There
are
no
downloads!
This
allows
you
to
make
sites
on
the
fly
while
at
home,
school
or
even
at
work.
Your
changes
are
saved
the
second
you
exit
SiteStudio!
-
Simple
to
use:
SiteStudio
guides
you
step-by-step,
providing
simple
choices
regarding
color,
style
and
images.
There
is
no
software
to
download
and
no
code
to
learn.
In
addition,
there
is
no
need
to
mess
around
with
programs
such
as
FTP.
-
Content
and
Design
Separation:
The
content
of
the
website
is
stored
separately
from
the
layout.
This
way,
you
can
completely
change
the
look
and
feel
of
your
website
in
six
clicks
of
the
mouse,
without
ever
having
to
retype
any
information.
-
Complete
control
over
color
schemes:
SiteStudio
includes
a
number
of
built-in
color
combinations
that
look
great
with
any
layout.
But
if
you
want
to
add
a
little
originality
to
your
site,
all
the
colors
can
be
changed,
either
by
using
a
point-and-click
color
picker,
or,
for
even
more
control,
typing
in
the
color
as
a
hex
number.
-
Layout
templates:
the
layout
of
the
site
is
controlled
by
layout
templates.
These
are
created
in
HTML
enhanced
by
a
few
additional
tags
for
generating
images.
A
number
of
layouts
are
included
with
SiteStudio.
-
On-the-fly
Image
generation:
SiteStudio
dynamically
generates
the
images
it
needs
for
each
web
site
design,
so
each
time
you
decide
to
change
the
color
combination
for
a
page,
the
layout,
or
just
a
button
caption,
the
necessary
image
is
automatically
created.
-
User-uploaded
images:
You
will
be
able
to
transfer
images
to
your
hosting
account
without
ever
having
to
leave
your
browser.
These
images
can
be
incorporated
into
page
content
or
even
page
design.
You
can
create
an
online
photo
album,
or
insert
a
personal
picture
to
make
it
a
seamless
part
of
the
page
logo.
-
Simple
point-and-click
interface:
From
making
a
simple
page
describing
yourself,
to
creating
multiple
catalogs
and
integration
with
Amazon
Associate
Program,
SiteStudio
will
let
your
create
just
about
any
kind
of
page
you
want.
-
Variety
of
pages:
SiteStudio
can
be
used
to
make
many
different
pages.
Create
an
online
resume,
or
build
a
personal
photo
album.
Everything
is
done
in
a
simple
step-by-step
process
that
is
easy
to
learn
and
to
follow.
-
One-click
publishing:
Your
website
is
published
with
one
easy
click.
But
even
after
publishing,
you
can
go
back
and
change
it
as
much
as
you
like.
Clicking
the
publish
button
again
will
instantly
make
all
the
changes
made
be
reflected
on
the
"live"
version
of
the
site.
-
Persistence:
All
your
information
is
saved
the
moment
it
is
entered.
If
you
decide
to
log
out,
you
can
come
back
and
continue
building
your
web
site
from
the
very
point
where
you
left
off.
-
Complete
control
over
the
website:
With
the
use
of
Site
Studio's
provided
settings,
you
can
make
unique
and
attractive
web
sites.
However
for
the
advanced
user,
SiteStudio
provides
a
way
to
change
just
about
every
color,
every
font,
every
button
caption
on
the
site.
How
do
I
create
email
accounts?
To
create
an
email
account,
login
to
your
control
panel
and
click
Mail,
then
Add/Remove
Email
Accounts.
*NOTE:
By
default
you
have
no
email
address
setup.
The
main
username
may
look
like
it
is
setup
as
an
email,
but
if
you
wish
to
use
it,
you
will
need
to
add
it
as
an
email
account.
What
do
I
set
my
domains
name
servers
to?
Not
sure
what
your
names
servers
are
for
your
site?
Please
read
your
welcome
e-mail.
If
you
have
lost
your
welcome
e-mail,
you
may
request
it
again
via
email
to
sales
for
your
server's
DNS
information.
Whatever
name
servers
are
listed
in
your
welcome
email
will
be
the
ones
to
use
for
all
of
the
sites
you
choose
to
host
out
of
your
account.
cPanel,
Webmail
Access
behind
Firewalls
With
your
Linux
Shared
Hosting
accounts,
you
have
access
to
a
control
panel
that
contains
the
admin
functions
of
your
account.
Generally
you
would
access
this
using
the
following
syntax:
http://yourdomain.com/cpanel
This
URL
would
change
to
http://yourdomain.com:2082
This
URL
causes
a
problems
for
some
as
it
attempts
to
connect
to
port
2082.
This
is
an
uncommon
port
and
may
be
blocked
by
corporate
and
public
firewalls
preventing
access.
If
you
are
unable
to
access
your
cpanel
using
the
above
URL,
you
can
now
access
it
using
the
following
syntax:
http://cpanel.yourdomain.com
This
syntax
does
not
connect
using
ports
and
will
allow
you
access.
The
same
rules
apply
for
Webmail.
http://webmail.yourdomaincom
This
syntax
will
work
as
an
alternative
to
http://yourdomain.com/webmail
allowing
you
access
to
those
services
on
your
account.
How
can
I
setup
webmail
to
go
directly
to
Horde,
SquirrelMail
or
RoundCube?
1.
to
the
webmail
program
you
prefer.
You
can
get
there
by
going
to
your-domain.com/webmail.
You'll
need
to
login
using
a
username
(which
is
the
full
email
address)
and
password.
2.
Once
you
have
logged
into
webmail,
click
on
the
webmail
program
of
your
choice.
3.
Copy
the
url
in
your
address
bar.
It
will
look
something
like:
http://your-domain.com:2095/roundcube/index.php
http://your-domain.com:2095/horde/login.php
(if
you
chose
Horde)
http://your-domain.com:2095/3rdparty/squirrelmail/src/webmail.php
(if
you
chose
SquirrelMail)
4.
Once
you
have
the
URL
you'll
be
wanting
to
use,
login
to
your
cPanel.
5.
In
cPanel,
setup
a
subdomain
called
something
like
myemail.your-domain.com
(you
can
do
this
by
clicking
on
the
"subdomains"
icon
in
cPanel).
Do
NOT
use
mail.your-domain.com
as
these
particular
subdomains
are
already
in
use
on
the
server
and
attempting
to
use
them
as
subdomains
can
result
in
conflicts.
6.
After
you've
setup
the
subdomain
in
your
cPanel,
setup
a
"redirect"
for
the
subdomain
(by
clicking
on
the
"subdomains"
icon).
You
will
need
to
setup
the
redirect
so
the
subdomain
goes
to
the
URL
of
the
webmail
program
of
your
choice.
That's
it!
